Frequently Asked Questions

Q: When is an out-of-the-box solution acceptable?

A:  Almost never. Cranes are often an after-thought and shouldn’t be. Vendors offering out-of-the-box solutions will force you to compromise your unique requirements in order to get a crane quickly. If you need fast delivery with unique crane requirements, call Han-Tek, because we can build  a customized system and install them in 4 to 6 weeks.

Q: How quickly can Han-Tek have my custom crane solution installed?

A: Typically, in just 4-6 weeks, less than half the normal delivery time of 12-14 weeks you’ll find with most other companies. The reason is our top-notch engineering department and our streamlined processes. So, when time is tight, Han-Tek is the quick answer.

Q: I have a low ceiling, is it possible to get the hook high enough?

A: The short answer is yes. In most situations, Han-Tek can design an overhead crane that can get the job done. In fact, Han-Tek utilizes custom design and unique components to achieve the highest hook height possible.

Q: I have delicate, but heavy parts I need to move. How can Han-Tek help?

A: Han-Tek’s modular cranes come with Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) control for all motions, which allows the operator to control lifted parts with more ease and eliminate defects or damage to parts.  VFDs also allow for adjustable minimum and maximum speeds.  Han-Tek cranes are also equipped with collision avoidance attributes, eliminating operator error and risk of injury.

Q: What does Han-Tek mean when they say "turn-key solution?"

A: Han-Tek provides design, build, installation, load testing, and commissioning of the entire crane system.  Han-Tek maintains in-house management, design, fabrication, riggers, and installers that work together within the same facility to ensure your crane system is completed quickly and efficiently from start to finish. Q:  What If I need runway and support structure to support my crane?

A: In addition to the crane itself, Han-Tek can also provide complete runway support structures. Whether you need to have it free-standing or fixed to an existing building structure, Han-Tek can provide columns, headers, connecting beams, and runway rails that the crane rides on.

Q:  What do Han-Tek’s ISO procedures mean to me?

A: Han-Tek’s ISO procedures help to ensure projects are completed with great precision, resulting in a high quality crane.  Detailed checklists are recorded for engineering, fabrication, and installation, guaranteeing that your crane is up and running as quickly and efficiently as possible, without any issues.
